I submitted original degree certificate and 2 letters from Naric. One for degree compatability and the other one for degree taught is english language. B1 proves your knowledge of english but how will you prove that your degree is equivalent to british degree standards? Till apr 5 2016 there used to be a PBS calculator which used to take care of both the requirements.Since Apr 6 2016 they introduced Naric visa and nationality letters.
If you are 100% sure that it is not required please go ahead but I just shared what I was told to submit.
same question I had how to prove qualification and I made several calls to home office. every time I got same rsponse "if B1 would be tere then no need to submit degree"

for update , since last week I made 8 calls to UKV&I service. All have unanimous replied , "If going for B1 test , then no need to submit degree" , apart from 1 who said It is not essential but good to submit to avoid any delay.

That's why I asked in SET-0 form under what category you marked for qualification and under which section you got this point. , it will help me to understand the situation.

P.S. during Tier 2 extension I did not submitted the degree , just SOC , Salary slips & Bank statements

Successful PEO from Entrepreneur to ILR [10 years route]

Post by elegantvogue » Fri Sep 09, 2016 7:45 pm

Hello everyone,
I have been a silent reader of this great forum..
I have got my ILR [10 years route] yesterday... Details are as follows

Booked PEO appointment in Glasgow at 9:00AM as there were no near dates in Liverpool [as it's near to me]
So drove for 4 hours and reached at 8:30. After security check I was directed straight to desk 1.
The person asked me, Were you on Tier 1? I said, yes. He said I thought so. And gave me the self assessment form to fill in.
As I had read in this forum about the self assessment, so I knew what exactly to write. Filled in less than 2 mins, and was told to sit down in the waiting area and I will give you a ticket shortly, and after about 10 mins he came to me and gave me a ticket.
@ 9:10 - Then I was called on another desk to submit the documents. List;

1- Printout of payment £2375
2- Application form
3- Photographs 2
4- life in the UK test
5- UK degree
6- Previous passports
7- biometric residence permit

-Though he asked me what type of business you were doing [As I ticked self-employed].

@ 9:20 - Then was called for Biometrics.
@ 10:00 - Caseworker then came and asked me that do I have any documents to support your self employment. I gave her last 2 years SA302 [As I was self employed for last 2 years only.]
She said I just need to copy them and it won't be long now.

@ 10:15 - I was called again for Biometric becoz for some reason it didn't go through the first time.
@10:30 - I was called again at Desk 1 and the guy said. You have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain :)

Thanks alot everyone for posting as I learned a lot from this forum.

Have a great day all of you

Regards

I had my PEO appointment at cardiff service centre on 08/September/2016.

Tier 1(general) --> ILR

Appointment time 10:20am

Token recieved and was asked to wait till they call me for Biometrics.
After an hour i was given questionnaire as most of you know. Filed that up in 2 mins and submitted it back.
Biometrics :11:40am
Then i went out for lunch. Around 2pm they called me back
2:05pm: was asked to collect documents and ILR granted.

No interview, no questions, no enquiries made directly to me.

A query to those who had got(or going to apply) their ILR on Tier-1 entrepreneur category after.

I am on Tier-1 Entrepreneur. Have ILR appointment in few days in Glasgow and heard that they ask to fill a form related self assessment. I asked my accountant but he said that I don’t need if my income/dividends vouchers are below £5000. And also don’t need to register as self employed because company director/ share holder is also self employed. According to accountant and from some other sources these information are required for just Tier 1 General.
Please share if anybody have information related this.

Advance thanks

Hi all,

I'm also trying to book my PSC Croydon premium appointment online but it keeps saying "We do not have any appointments in the next 42 days at your selected location". I'm currently on a purple visa, and now I want to apply for a blue certificate (CR1). For two weeks now, online I cannot do anything.

When should I refresh the page - during the day, night, which days? I do not see any calendar dates for choosing. Thank you in advance for all suggestions.

Sorry it is out of thread question. but worthy to directly ask from people with ILR.

Q. PPL who got ILR from Tier 2 G visa , do they submitted their degree as well (requirement other than english knowledge)?

It is not required to submit your degree unless you are proving it for the English Language requirement. If you have taken any other Test like Trinity / Toefl at the B1 level then you only need to submit these test results and nothing else.

Hi J20
Its me who asked this question a month before but didn't get any reply. According to me you don't need to register as self employed as i didn't. Even don't need to register for self assessment as you are a company director. Many accountants says that you must register for self employed and then apply for slef assessment but there is no need at all.
good luck
