EEA PR card for citizenship applicaton

I was wondering if it matters that the passport I used in the EEA PR application is expired now. Do I need to re-apply for a new PR card and put down the new card number on my citizenship application or it doesn't matter?

No, you don't have to apply for a new PR card.
