Early PBS Dependent Extension

My wife's visa is valid till April 2017 but have plan to visit India during that time.

I learned from home office for FLRM they should renew only 28 days before the visa expiry.

Can someone please confirm whether she can renew her PBS Dependent visa few months before her renewal?

She may apply whenever she wishes to. The period of grant will depend on your status.
What is your current immigration status?

Currently I am ILR but she entered UK when I was in Tier 1 so she needs to continue as PBS dependent.

The period of grant of leave will be 3 years (319D(a)).

Hello,

I am planning to extend the PBS dependent visa for wife 5 months earlier the actual visa expiry as she needs to travel to India. One of my friend for FLR(M) said that they cant renew 28 days before the expiry. So i want to confirm the following

1. Can we extend the visa few months before the expiry?
2. Do we need to submit the cohabitation documents for the extension though the application doesnt say?

If you apply earlier than the 28 days before the expiry date of the current visa your wife will have to make an additional application in order to make up the shortfall.

Is your wife applying for an extension as a PBS dependant or FLR(M)? How did you obtain ILR? Through long residence or the 5 year route?
