Question about IHS refund

Post by sunoo » Mon Oct 03, 2016 3:56 pm

Hi Everyone,

A quick question from all of you. If visa have been refused the IHS refund will be straightway?

The reason I am asking this question is that I just done a status check on my Mrs application and they replied me saying a decision have been made. I am staying positive but asking it just as a question.

Does anyone have any experience?

Regards

sunoo

Hi,

I am in the same boat - a decision has been made (checked status by email) - but they have not made any formal contact or invited applicant to the VAC yet to collect the passport.

I have heard that if it is a refusal they payment does get refunded even before u collect the passport.

Someone who have been refused can give us the better answer. I checked status via email today and they replied in half an hour saying a decision have been made. I am not sure when they made decision as this is first time I checked the status.

I dont think they refund IHS straight away in all cases as many people opt for appeal . Tracking status suggested decision has been made in my family case

I did involved MP earlier and he told me that settlement visa has been issued to my spouse and kid but i still have doubts as seeing is believing :D

All the best and hopeful your applications were successful.

My wife's visa was refused and I got the IHS fee refunded only after 2 weeks.

It shouldn't be an issue as the passport will be on her name. She can take any other form of identity with her. When was your last status check which informed you that decision have been made?
