Switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Post by bains123 » Tue Oct 04, 2016 5:30 pm

Hi All,

I am working as associate Director and My current Tier 2 ICT visa will expire in March-2018.

Is it possible to apply Tier 2 General from UK or home country
- If I earn more than £120,000 (april-2017 new rule)?
- If yes then do I have to show this number throughout my stay in UK? (if I switch job and may not get this
figure)
- Do I have to serve cooling period?
- Will I eligible to apply for ILR after 5yrs?

Thanks,

No, The bar is still £155,300 and the Tier 2 G will need to be applied from home country
If your current salary is > £120,000 you have a chance of extending your Tier 2 ICT for a total of 9 years

No, your proposed salary on Tier 2 G needs to be >= £155,300
- Do I have to serve cooling period?
Yes, if salary < £155,300
- Will I eligible to apply for ILR after 5yrs?
Yes, on a 5 year stay with a Tier 2 G visa subject to you satisfying conditions that apply on completion of 5 years

Thanks,
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
