Unemployment Benefit.

Dear Sir,

I am a student living in Manchester since three months & having my wife & two children as dependants with me. My wife is trying for several jobs which are relevant to her previous experience & other miscellenous jobs also to support me & my family.

But unfortunately till date all her applications are rejected. She has attended two interviews in two schools but was not selected though she was informed her performance was excellent.

I would like to know whether she is eligible for any unemployment allowance. I have all the documantary evidence of rejection letters received.

I would appreciate if you can advise me in this matter to do the needful.

Sai,

IMHO I don't think your wife is eligible for unemployment allowance (benefit) as this is on the list of public funds...If she is able to make a successful claim, that may work against her in the future ie extensions etc.
