Dependant"s status after my ILR

Post by umerahmed » Tue Oct 11, 2016 11:47 am

Hello everyone,

Can someone share their opinion about my concerns below:

I will be applying for ILR (Long Residence Route) by end of this month, currently I am on Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) which is valid until 30 May 2017.
My wife is on Tier 1 Dependent valid until 30 May 2017
1. Does my wife has to switch to FLR(M) straight away if my application is successful? Or she can apply for FLR(M) in May 2017?

2. She came to UK as my dependent in 2011 when i was on PSW visa, does she has to spend 5years or 2years on FLR(M) to become eligible for ILR?

Please share your thoughts.

Regards.

she can switch anytime before the end of her visa, as long as she is not travelling. If she is , then she needs to have correct visa
5 years on flrm from the day she changes the visa.
