I haven't asked for documents back yet. Planning to do that this week.italiannational0509 wrote:csabapalfi wrote:Oh, thats really good to know, did you receive your documents back and how long did it take to receive them from sending in your app?csabapalfi wrote:
Turns out the 6 months starts from when the payment is taken.
Called the Home Office today they took my details then promised a call back in 5 working days.
They called back few hours later to tell me that nothing was sent out yet, the case is in progress and the 6 months is just an approximate processing time so I should just wait longer. (At the very least I managed to confirm that my address change went through but that's all)
Hi a friend of mine is a registrar and she does all the British citizenship checks and ceremonies, she informs me that they don't do that. The council just acts as a checking service so you don't have to send in your documents to HO and they check through all of your forms to make sure everything is completed properly. If you haven't got your DCPR yet, i would wait to get it as they also need to take a copy of it for the citizenship. The thing is with DCPR you don't actually need it, unless you want to get British citizenship in which case it means you don't have to hand in proof of residence and employment for the 5 years prior.avva78 wrote:Hi,
I need an advise please on NCS. I called my local office to book appt to check citizenship form. Been asked for date when my card been issued. It was this month but my supporting documents are from 2009- 2014I don't want wait a year to apply for British citizenship. So she refused to book appt. I thought part of this appt is so they can call HO and check dates for you. Apparently in my local office they don't call only checking form and taking copies. Is the other way to check date when I equire my residency except SAR request please. I live in Hampshire, anyone had similar issue here? What date should I gave them?
Many thanks
The receptionist or clerk is misinformed. You do not need to hold PR card for a year before applying to naturalise.avva78 wrote:Hi,

Suggest enter your date on basis of acquiring PR status back in 2014 (or whenever you believe it was).avva78 wrote:Hi,
to my understanding i tried to explain her.Even on booking form online is asking for a date when :
When did you receive your indefinite leave to remain or a permanent residence card (adults only).
What should I put here? Doesn't allowed me to go further without date?
Thank you.
Hi please can you confirm when you received your ID back?avva78 wrote:Hi all,

First when i saw your post i said to myself "i need cup of tea to read this long story" however when i read it i felt sorry for you guys and for what you have been through, at least you enjoyed your holiday!! This is very nice of you sharing your experience so other people can lean from it..So i guess i should thank you!!firmbeliever wrote:Hello all, I am a newbie but would like to share mine experience. This is for anyone wishing to travel before they receive their PR cards (biometric format). I have found this forum very helpful and informative.

My advise to anyone would be to wait for your documents before you travel. The risk is not worth it. You won't be able to relax. We are so grateful to God for his mercy and I had great faith in God and He came through for us.
My partner received his biometric permanent residence card 26 days after his approval letter was issued . Glory be to God. People rarely share their experience with the EEA stamp, so I thought I would share. The EEA stamp is not a guarantee. It’s only for a single entry into the UK, after that it’s pretty much useless. Leaving the UK is easy but entering is difficult without the proper document.
I hope this is the right forum to post this.
This works: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outrea ... pdate.ofmlHi to all maybe someone know what to do 4 moths ago i did apply for PR still waiting for desicion but few days ago i have moved to different addres just in case i have had made post rediction but also i would to contact HM and let them know about my new address cause i dont want to risk to lose my all documents somewhere in post.
avva78 wrote:Hi,
I received all documents at the same time 11.10.2016 in 1 envelope. With my application I included self addressed prepaid special delivery envelope. In meantime I changed address which I notify HO. Never received email confirmation and yet all been delivered to new address.
Regards,
Friend just text me that they received their DCPR:Does any EU national who applied in June had any news yet? I applied on 16th June and still waiting. Regads
I helped a few friends with filling in their forms/applications and am tracking their timelines just out of interest/for this forum - one has a June timeline:
EEA national (France)
Sent: 11/06/16
Received: 13/06/16
Email: 18/07/16
(Never requested passport back as they can travel on their ID card)
Since then nothing, expecting it back mid-October or rather mid-November due to potential Brexit delays.
