Work experience calculation

Hello!

I'm wondering: I'm a F/T student in Britain for 5 years and at the same time I'm employed by the company from my own country for 4 years already. Basically I spend 9 months out of 12 in Britain. Also I have a proof of my earnings. All the necessary documents (contract etc) my company can provide. Does it count as a work experience?

p.s. I'm under 28
