Hi there,

A friend of mine wants to apply for a visit visa to tour uk from pakistan. She work for a company in telecom and her salary tranferd in her bank. My question is does she need travel/health insurance to apply a general visitor visa.

How much funds does she need to show via her bank statement and for how long that should be maintained. Pls advise on fund requirements, if you are not sure on amount just a rough idea will be helpful.

P.s she wants to visit for 10 days only.

I will try to answers to your questions...

Health Insurance : - Check UKVI website for visit visa from pakistan. Ideally if you have insurance it will protect
from higher cost of any treatment of visitor in UK.

Fund in Bank account :- Bank account statement is not about balance.Its about how you have arrived at
balance.If she gets the salary it should have balance justifying expenses. DON'T ever deposit large cash or transfer fund in bulk in the account,if you do then justify it . Balance should be healthy as per salary.

The basis things they look is how deep your roots are in your home country which would compel you to go back after the visit.These compulsions include good salary/job, properties in home country and family members in home country...
