Just three months

Post by teekay_tk » Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:17 pm

Hi
I am working in UK on a permanent contract. My workpermit and visa expire this May 08. the employer will apply for a work permit extension for me, and i would have to renew my leave to remain myself. In August 08 it will be 5 years for me working in the UK, so i will be eligible for ILR. My question is that there is only 3 moths difference between my eligibility for ILR and my next application for leave to remain and I am on a permanent contrat, can I not ask for ILR as a special case, just to save a few months and having to pay twice for the applications?

any ideas?

Unfortunately not. What is a saving to you, is a loss of revenue for the BIA.
