Home Office Reference Number

Hi,

I am re-applying for a spouse visa after it got refused recently.

On the online VAF4A form, there is a question to confirm if I have applied before. I now need to answer this as YES. it then prompts to input the "Home Office Reference Number" (mandatory field). Unfortunately I am unable to find this anywhere? I have checked letter of refusal or previous online submission but all I can see is the GWF number or a Post Reference (in this format: SHEFO \ 123456).

On the guide notes for VAF4A form, it says this number should be something like S12345 (surname initials followed by numbers). Any ideas where can I find this Home Office Reference Number?

When did you apply for your biometrics? and what date did you get rejected?

biometric on 21st August and refusal letter dated 5th Oct
