Hey Paru
I too have met a few solicitors but got mixed responses. Said that, I have decided to send an early application because 2 known solicitors and some members of this group told and shared their experiences. What the solicitors are telling you isn't completely true. If it is, ask them to show you where does it say that on the guidance or anywhere else? Said that, it is indeed a safer option(but more expensive). So yeh, decision is yours buddy!

I'd advise you to go to the below link where KhanW gave some very good advice to me and also a link that he shared. Do fead it! Might help you make up your mind :)
http://www.immigrationboards.com/indefi ... l#p1410655

Btw, when do you apply for ILR?

P.s: I know that you're after a SOLID answer but trust me we aren't getting one because both options have been tried and tested. The forum is filled with stories similar to ours. Just make the decision and go with it I guess :)

Just had an email from premium upgrade team I am a bit confused hopefully some forum member can shed some light.

Dear Sir

On review of your application we are unable to consider it for a Premium Upgrade within the agreed service time after taking the £400 top up fee.
Therefore the £400 fee has been refunded and your application will continue to be considered on the postal route once returned to the postal team.
We apologise for this inconvenience.

Kind Regards
Premium Upgrade Team

Hi Eddiemurphy,

Sorry to hear this. I haven't seen any case like this. I thought they only deduct money once they are satisfied with the documents provided. Have you tried to send them e-mail regarding this? They don't reply regarding updates on the applications but did replied a few people on why they did not accepted their upgrade request. As they accepted the request and also deducted money, it is worth sending an e-mail to clearify. Thanks

Thanks khanNW for advice. I did email premium team today to ask for the reason as the very first email I had from them which confirmed provisional approval also confirmed that upon arrival of my application they will review it and if eligible only then they will process the payment. I am waiting for a reply from premium team now.

This is regarding time scale for postal application .
I just got a short query about application
How long it's taking nowadays for postal application to be process .I am aware as normal they saying it's taking up to six month.

It has been two month since waiting for outcome of postal application.

Plz advice about post to premium services as well.

We applied on June 23rd and have had no luck so far. Hopefully it will not take 6 months. I have noticed other people are getting their's in 5 months! Holding thumbs!

Hi,
For the people applying for premium upgrade, I was able to find that the delay in processing of application once accepted by Premium upgrade team was due to transit issues. It has affected 35 applicants since the service was started (I was one of them) and other 200 applicants got their decisions in 5 working days. They are aware of transit delays and intended to improve by reviewing the causes of delays.

On average, 3 applications were accepted each day (Mon-Thursday)

Hi guys! Just to update all of you about my timeline and to also give some hope to folks who are waiting for decision on their ILR application. My timeline is as follows

Postal application Set (LR) 6-09-2016
Fee deducted. 8-09-2016
Biometric letter received 17-09-2016 dated 15-09-2016
Biometric info submitted. 17-09-2016
Premium upgrade request sent. 17-09-2016
Automated response received. 17-09-2016
Email to confirm provisional 19-09-2016
acceptance
Enquired about progress by email 27-09-2016

Reply received same day that they are still waiting for application to arrive at Liverpool PSC from storage
Sent numerous email since then out of frustration to check progress
Finally money deducted £400 20-10-2016
for premium service

Money refunded and application 24-10-2016
sent back to postal route for normal
Processing

Waiting game started after that but I received my ILR
Today 11-01-2017 dated 9-01-2017. That is the end of my long journey to ILR I wish everyone waiting for decision all the very best. Only shared the timeline to give you hope that even if your premium upgrade request gets rejected please don't lose hope. Take care guys

I have been trying to request upgrade for premium for last week at 8:00am on the dot, only received auto-response after each email! so disappointed with their service....
