HSMP Dependent VISA for new born in UK

Post by ZINX » Tue Jan 29, 2008 10:56 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm on HSMP visa in the UK for past 2 years and recently had a baby around 4 weeks back.

Wish to check on how to go about applying VISA for him.

- What form to fill
- What documents will be required
- Where to send
- Which visa ( Since I'm not on PR I suppose it will be a dependent visa )

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers,
Zinx

You might need to apply for a passport for him, (from whichever country he is entitled to citizenship from, since he is not british)

Apply on form FLR(o)

You'll need child's full birth certificate, with both parents' names, last three months worth of proof of finances to support yourself and dependants without recourse to public funds, your passport with visa, two pictures of the child and the fee.

You can apply in person or by post, check the FLR(o)
form and guidance for the postal address

The child will be issued leave to remain as your dependant, if all goes well with the application.
