How long for passport after ceremony

Post by JFriden » Wed Nov 02, 2016 3:06 pm

Hi there,

Anyone knows how long does it take to receive the passport after you got the citizenship certificate? I have applied for citizenship together with passport application.

The BRP becomes void after attending your BC ceremony, similar to when a bank card is terminated.

Whether the IO at UK Border Control will accept this together with your BC certificate remains to be seen.

Oh dear, I guess this is the risk I will have to take... can't cancel the trip.

Hey JFriden,
I'm currently in this situation; what was the outcome for you?
(I now have Citizenship but my passport will not arrive before I have to travel...)
Thanks,
-J
