New Passport and Application

Hello,

Hopefully someone can shed a bit of light on my issue.

I am going to apply for a Tier 2 extension in January. My employer will provide me with the sponsorship code in December.

As I am going home for Christmas, I wanted to get a new passport as my current one is almost full (3 empty pages left).

So my question is: is my sponsorship code linked to my passport or could I apply with my new passport? Also are there any requirements about the passport (how many empty pages do you need to have etc)?

yes and no.
when assigning the cos, they will have to enter your passport number.
However when u apply, u will have to send your old passport with it, so it will make sense that u have renewed passport after they have assigned cos.
1 page is needed.

I would advise get a new passport first as passport details are required to be enter on COS.
**if you are travelling on new passport and COS is assigned ... take a letter from your employer so that you have no issues while entering back

Thank you. So you don't think they would only issue the new permit with the passport that I used to obtain the COS? As long as i disclose it, it would be ok?
