I have submitted application on 25/08/2016 and just like you it shows under process. I had sent and email to London High Commission on 28th October to email "info.london@hcilondon.in" to which they replied on 2nd Nov that "Your OCI file has been granted and it is expected that the OCI card will be printed in about 2 to 3 weeks. Please check the OCI status on the link https://passport.gov.in/oci/statusEnqury and when the status shows document received at London, you may follow collection procedure which is on VFS website: http://www.vfsglobal.com/India/UK/contact_us.html"

Still waiting for status to change and documents to arrive in London office; to be able to travel in 2nd week of December. The wait and uncertainty is killing.

Hi guys, do you know which email address I sent request for status update, as sent few emails earlier to OCI help desk no replay so far. Its almost 73 days since date of acknowledgement, I book another appointment for visitor visa as need urgent visit to India.

Hi all,

We have finally received our passports and OCI booklets yesterday ie 17th Nov.

VFS and HCI did respond to emails after 24 hours at least.
Over phone also they were quite helpful and provided us the correct status, and also the tracking nos.

The system works, just a bit of patience, and in case of urgency following up seems to help.

Hi Sonal,

Great you receive passport on time and HCI - VFS helpful.. I submitted passport for OCI stamp on 11th November, I assume it will take few more days to get it back. Dont know why this taking to long, as same day I submitted application for visitor visa for my wife and she got her passport back yesterday but OCI still not stamp yet.

Anyway have a good trip to India.

Hi Kirandeep,

I have submitted my passport at Paddington VFS for OCI stamping on 11-11-16. Yesterday called VFS -on:
203 793 8629 , VFS informed they passport still with HCI, normally it take 7 to 10 working days for stamping and issuing OCI card.

Its better to email HCI to chase it up..

While OCI is still under process, is there any possibility that i can apply for tourist visa to india and go to india and request indian high commission to deliver my processed oci card to india instead of UK as i will be planning to stay in india for 2 to 3 months.

This Oci thing is so frustrating
Waiting waiting and waiting... don't know when this job is going to be done..
dint come my oci this week too.. have been waiting since 8 nov
Hope my passport is in safe hand..

My wife OCI application submitted on 26th August which still under process. But my son application submitted on same time OCI got process on 11-11-2016, submitted his passport VFS Padington branch on 11-11-2016 passport still with High Commission India.. seems like there is a bit delay in processing application and stamping OCI..

Have you got your OCI card yet or any SMS update.
I am waiting too. I submitted my passport for OCI stamping on 15-Nov-2016. No update yet. I know it takes 7-10 working days but do you guys know if it usually comes under 10 days ?
I have my tickets booked for 3 Dec and just have few days left. I will wait for this week and see.
Please let me know in case you guys receive yours.

I got my passport and oci today on 22 nov..
U SUBMITTED on 15 nov so apparently u will get ur passport
On 28 or 29 nov ....
Because these days so much delays .. don't worry
Hopefully u will get ur thing before 3 dec..
Within 10 working days you will get ur passport..
so relax

My journey of oci is finished ... good luck to everyone
And don't worry too much .. have patience.. that's what
Learnt during this oci process..
