tier 2 dependent visa query

Hi All,



My tier 2 visa got extended from Uk and my wife is currently in india and her dependent visa is linked to my old visa.
her visa is valid untill 22nd jan 2017.

1)Can she travel to uk in dec and apply for dependent
2)If not what need to be done to extend visa

I think she can travel back, and this is the best way to extend her visa , i.e., within uk.
if you renew her visa from outside uk, it will be classed as entry clearance and her counter will start from zero.

but after renew my old visa got automatically cancelled.
but i am afraid if she stopped at uk immigration.

Your wife is still your dependent with a valid visa which can be extended in the UK.

The only issue would be if you had been granted ILR under long residence, not an extension.

yes i have tier 2 general visa which got extended for three year.
so i assume she dont have any problem to enter in uk with old dependent visa which is effective till 22nd jan 2017
