You can use booking.com also... most of the online reservations dont charge anything, but they ask for your credit card details...

I have booked accomadation on www.venere.com. The site is good in the sense that you can book accomadation in a hotel of your choice(budget wise) and as LION told earlier they dont charge.......

For me, it seems they are not responding to any mail, call and even they are not updating status on website also.

I sent mails on 30th and today.. no response..

What do u feel??

This is really frustrating... if they are still sitting on Dec applications then when will they clear Jan applications...

I am really trying to stay positive right now :)

everyone , i still believe there will be some updates later today afternoon ( 4 PM or so) please ram and others - keep checking online every 20 minutes

i know it is half day for them - but senthil got his result on a friday evening at 6 PM - dont lose hope. :idea:

remember that whatever cases have been completed by BHC today - first will be batched - and then communicated to VFS - who probably use some sort of application to upload online - so even if your decision has been taken today morning - online status may get updated today evening only

and they have stopped responding properly to calls and emails i guess - so the best source of info at this point is online updates and perhaps calls to VFS to find out if passport has already reached them. :shock:

it seems ppl get to know about interview only when they call to BHC or VFS ( thread by morjekar on ec interview)

Is that it this week. My hopes are going down day by day. In case of Backlogs, the timeline keeps improving as days pass by. Here is a unique place where it detoriates.

I sent a mail yesterday... No response till now. No response to all the calls in the morning too...

God knows when it will come... am totally frustrated... lets see how long this goes on! Today is the 30th working day in mine and Rambabu's case...

thanks reincarnation - but starting to feel like they are not in control of the process ( BHC and VFS)

Anyways , i tried calling bangalore vfs - guess they will not pick phone for enquiries after 3 :P
should we ask bangalore or chennai vfs for enquiries on appln's submitted at bangalore

what abt BHC chennai - guess we need to wait till monday to call them :twisted:

how disappointing today's ec updates have been

perhaps they were so busy completing cases that they had no time to call or reply email :)

Yes..enquiries are entertained only untill 3. I think its better to call BHC instead of VFS. I'm afraid if they know more than whats already there on the website...

Iam dried out of assumptions and analysis. It is becoming totally unpredictable. All our assumptions and expectations are not working even to the nearest level. They are still looking in to week 1 and 2 of December. A closed blackbox that took our certificates and passport . We wait near the box without knowing when it is going to come back.

guys my company HR have called the embassy to enquire the delay of EC in my case and they were told that the official timeline for HSMP processing is 5 working weeks...and considering the backlog they have, it seems we cannot expect our EC before 30 working days

at this point , if they stick to 30 at least it is tolerable :x

ram , kumar and harvis are all crossing 30 days today and have not yet got their result :x

this is a real sad act by BHC
