Passport Renewal

I am Indian Passport holder. My visa valid until Nov08 but my passport valid until Sept08.

I am thinking of renewing my passport in March08 since I am travelling to London for some other reason.

My question is-

1. If I renew my passport now , will there any problem to travel with two passport (visa stamp on old passport)? Foe example, travelling to India, Europe.
2. Do I really need to transfer my visa on my new passport?

3. How many months before should one renew their passport?

4. Has anyone faced any problem (with two passports) travelling to India and also returning to UK?

Please advice.

3) You can renew 1 year in advance.

4) I always carry 2 passports, as the old one carries my ILR and other visas !
