I did not upgrade my application, but I did try for a premium service which was later refused.

Any idea about the delay
Hi Shanu111

I have the same situation.. I applied on 7-04-2016.. received a letter from Home Office on 01-09-2016 asking about my son application (born in UK).. also an attached letter was about your application will take longer than 6 months as we are waiting for information from govt agencies.. I assume we should just wait and wait.. I am hoping for positive outcome

Hi Jojybaba,

I did my Set O application on 17 Aug 2016 and didn't receive any acknowledgement letter ever (neither by post nor by email). I straight received Biometric enrolment letter (on 02 Oct.) after 6 weeks of application. Since then I am just waiting. :(
Some of the people who applied after July 2016 received either no reply or an email acknowledgement from HO for all types of visa applications.

As long as the money has been deducted, you don't need to worry. If money ain't deducted, it means payment details are incorrect or bank stopped transaction.
It seems like they are really busy with all sorts of applications.

Have patience, you may receive biometric enrollment letter straightaway!

Hi, I have amend my Tax before the application sent to HO. I have all my SA302 with me. Not sent to HO.

when did you amend the tax return for year 2011? did HMRC provide you the new SA302?
thanks

There are no specific timelines for postal applications. It is all depend upon application, caseworker, information provided, information needed for HO and <&$?> to approve the application.

My Application details
Tier 1 General Set(0) -- 2+3 years, 1 Dependent
Post Application :22-02-2016
Received at HO : 23-02-2016
Biometric submitted : 24-03-2016
Done amendments for 2011. Not submitted SA302 to HO.
No Monthly EMails Received

Upgrade to premium service email sent on 21/06/2016. Email received premium service not accepting Premium on 23/06/2016.

Got a letter from HO on August 01 stating that they have requested info from other govt agency(probably HMRC in my scenario).

Mine passes 9 months this week. My suggestion is to wait, wait and wait without sending any letters or chasing them, that may delay the process. Hope everyone will get possitive news but on delayed time.

Funnily, I haven't heard anything about my application. I called the UKVI today since I am now outside their 6 month service standard. I was informed that my application hasn't been processed yet and that there has been no dispatch of anything from them to me. However when my son (who is 23 and a dependant) called, they confirmed that his application has been processed and a parcel has been sent out to him and they even gave the tracking number of the Royal Mail Signed for second class mail parcel.

That's contradictory because the UKVI will not process the dependant's application unless the application of the main applicant (me) has been processed. How could they have processed my son's application without processing mine? My son's application was joined to my application and that of my wife, so unless all 3 applications were processed, his application couldn't possibly have been sent off. Yet, I have the tracking number for my son's application and the UKVI says mine or my wife's isn't processed!

Received two letters from UKVI, one asking whereabouts of my son and why I haven't applied his visa with mine, other letter stating my application is complex and can take more than 6months. It's almost 6months not sure how long I have to wait :( :(

Hi Kumar,
Telephone: 0300 123 2241 For UKVI.
Non English sentence removed by moderator. When you call, the automated system asks you if your application is less than 6 months old. I made a Bahana by saying I needed my passport back so needed to speak to a case worker. The phone was then answered by a woman who gave me the details.
All the best!
