Boilerplate letter.noajthan wrote:[....
The letter you quoted (above) refers to obtaining a family permit (FP) to reenter UK if travelling.softy monster wrote:Hey Noajthan, noajthan wrote:Boilerplate letter.
Obviously FP not required from outside if someone still has a valid RC.
thanks for your reply, sorry could you please explain that again as I am not really sure if I understood that! whats the FP, andf also not required...please clarify a bit more ! thanks
RCs run for 5 years.softy monster wrote:Even if my original RC was supposed to expire on 19 Oct 2016, as I had new passport so technically when they transfer my RC from the old to the new passport, the expiry date changed from Oct 2016 to May 2019 instead! so to clarify..if I travel abroad and on my back to UK, would that be a problem for when entering the UK?
Old RC was issued in Oct 2011 and was due to expire on Oct 2016noajthan wrote:RCs run for 5 years.
They don't magically extend.
If you have had a 2nd RC issued then when was it issued
And I'll leave the maths as exercise for reader
Note this is not about PR.

that's true I am always over thinking when it comes to the HO, and I am also kind of person who likes to seek information/advise/Do/Don't do, beforehandnoajthan wrote:You're over thinking this.
You got a boiler plate letter.
The generic advice to get a FP doesn't apply to reenter as you have a current RC.
