Is Employment Contract required to apply T2 dependent visa?

Post by Gautham » Thu Dec 01, 2016 3:14 pm

Hello Guys,

I will be shortly applying for a T2 dependent visa for my wife. I was working in a short term contract with my organisation (3 months as an intern in T4 visa, as I did my masters here) and recently applied for a T2 work visa.

I just got my visa and my organisation is yet to provide me with a revised employment contract. Is the COS enough to apply a dependent visa as it has all the information like the sponsor period, job details, salary and allowances?

I am thinking of providing the following documents from my side.

1. My Visa
2. BRP
3. Passport copy
4. COS
5. Sponsor Letter
6. Tenancy Agreement

Please do let me know. Thanks in advance.

The key one missing is the one showing your relationship - i.e. a Marriage Certificate.
I really don't think employer agreement is necessary, just your visa documents and the sponsor letter confirming maintenance is fine.
