POSSIBLY as the biometrics letter will that period - suggest re-arrange application. You have 15 working days from date of letter, so with christmas post delays you may have less time. If they don't receive after first letter another reminder will be sent, with only 10 days allowed.
Thanks in advance.

do you mean Full name? (First, any middle and last name)?alterhase58 wrote:1.24 Your Father's name:

It means 25 days in total. I will go for holiday two days after application submission and I will be back after 26 days from the day of the submission.alterhase58 wrote:Also:

Timelines suggest bio letter received somewhere in the region of 7 to 14 daysVinGam wrote:Hi alterhase58,
thank you very much for you answers.

Once they received the application, after how long they will send the biometric letter?
Yes, I have seen it received between 7 to 14 days. But the letter is issued right after the application has been received or they will take few days?alterhase58 wrote:I have to travel for 20 days after I submit my application, is it going to be an issue?Timelines suggest bio letter received somewhere in the region of 7 to 14 days
What's the date on the Biometric letter?MrsGreenside wrote:If it helps, I received the letter asking for biometrics 2 days after I received the acknowledgement email and 4 days after the money was taken off the account:
17 Oct received by HO
22 Oct money taken
24 Oct email
26 Oct biometrics letter
A cheque takes 5 days to clear so this **MAY** be an option but I personally would not want to take the risk.
Be aware, date of NCS appointment is now considered date of submission of application.VinGam wrote:Solved.
NCS can held my application for a week before it will be posted to the Home Office so it will be sent after Christmas and there should no be any problem then.
Thanks to everyone.
Hi noajthan, thanks for your answer. Does it mean they cannot held it?noajthan wrote:Be aware, date of NCS appointment is now considered date of submission of application.
For what reason exactly are they 'holding' it? You have posted your question/post in a 'general application help discussion' topic where many members post so it is not clear.VinGam wrote:Hi noajthan, thanks for your answer. I have to fly urgently for 25 days right after I submit my application. So I asked if it's possible to hold it for a week. Apparently they can do that.CR001 wrote:For what reason exactly are they 'holding' it?
Where has this 'holding it' idea come from.VinGam wrote:Hi noajthan, thanks for your answer. Does it mean they cannot held it?noajthan wrote:Be aware, date of NCS appointment is now considered date of submission of application.
I called the NCS today and they said they can hold it. If they hold it till my return I have to update the absence sheet.noajthan wrote:Where has this 'holding it' idea come from.VinGam wrote:Hi noajthan, thanks for your answer. Who has suggested NCS can 'hold it'?
The application is submitted on day of interview, you will have no control on internal movements and machinations after that.
Nor what colour file box the bundle is stored in nor how and when it may be moved around various processing offices in the country.
I wouldn't rely on such an ad hoc and non-standard arrangement.VinGam wrote:I called the NCS today and they said they can hold it. If they hold it till my return I have to update the absence sheet.
But for what reason do you wish them to 'hold it'? A person is free to travel after submitting their application so your request doesn't make any sense at all.VinGam wrote:I have to fly urgently for 25 days right after I submit my application. Bollocks. You have already 'applied' and the date you submitted at NCS is the date of application. Any absence AFTER this date is irrelevant.VinGam wrote:I called the NCS today and they said they can hold it. If they hold it till my return I have to update the absence sheet.
Because I will be out of country for 26 days. I may not be back in time for the biometric enrolment.CR001 wrote:But for what reason do you wish them to 'hold it'? A person is free to travel after submitting their application so your request doesn't make any sense at all.
You are assuming of course that you will get a letter while away, which you might not with the holidays, delays in postal service etc. You get a second letter anyway if you do not attend the first enrollment within 15 days.VinGam wrote:Because I will be out of country for 26 days. Yes, I though about Christmas and the second letter. But I will apply on the 16th of Dec, I will fly on the 18th of Dec and back on the 10th of Jan.CR001 wrote:You are assuming of course that you will get a letter while away, which you might not with the holidays, delays in postal service etc. You get a second letter anyway if you do not attend the first enrollment within 15 days.VinGam wrote:Because I will be out of country for 26 days. Why not just apply when you are back in the UK in JanuaryVinGam wrote:Yes, I though about Christmas and the second letter. But I will apply on the 16th of Dec, I will fly on the 18th of Dec and back on the 10th of Jan.
I will be back 26 days after my application submission. The windows is 15 days + 10 days so 25. Plus a week or two between the two letters.
People receive it between 7 and 14 days. I may be on time.
Telling me they can hold it maybe they meant that the submission date will be the same but they can delay the dispatch. I am not too sure, tomorrow I will call again and I will ask them to explain it better to me.
I will apply with 80 days out of the Country in the last 12months. then I have to wait at least the end of January to apply again as I will go up to 110 days out of the country in the last 12 months. So my application will be delayed of 45 days.CR001 wrote:Why not just apply when you are back in the UK in JanuaryVinGam wrote:Yes, I though about Christmas and the second letter. Last 5 years is 5 years from date of application. Its nothing to do with PR.VinGam wrote:Regarding the Evidence of lawful residence.
Should I submit evidence of the last five years or evidence since my PR status (Feb 2015) or DCPR date (May 2016)?
