Dear Members,

I am applying for my visa this week and just wanted to share my documents list.

I am trading as a sole trader and not by way of a private company. I got my initial visa in October 2013.

I would be grateful if you would please let me know if I have missed any documents?

Documents list
1. Passport;

2. Biometrics;

3. Application form;

Investment points
4. 3 years annual accounts from 2013 to 2016;

5. Management accounts from 5 April 2016 until 31 August 2016;

6. Compilation reports (already included in the accounts);

7. Investment confirmation table;

8. Business bank statement for the full 3 years;

Job creation points
9. Payslips and Employer summary for full 3years;

10. FPS/EPS for full 3 years;

11. P30, P45, P60, P32, P11 for full 3 years;

12. Passport copies employees;

13. Hourly rate calculation;

14. Accountant letter confirming job creation;

HMRC self-employed documents
15. HMRC self-employed registration welcome letter dated June 2013;

16. Business bank statements showing NI payments;

17. Current HMRC registration dated 9 August 2016 confirming my self-employed registration;

18. Letter from the bank that my business account is trading;

Maintenance and other documents
19. VAT registration certificate of my business;

20. 3 months personal bank statements showing maintenance (stamped);

21. Business insurance documents;

22. Reference letters from clients;
　
23. Invoices of the above clients;

That is not sufficient I believe .

If you cannot show that in the 3 months prior to your application you have registered as a directors or a Limited company, then you are likely not to get 15 points under Table 5, and your application will likely be refused.

I have seen many applicant putting the accountant's letter confirming investment. I can't see any such requirement in the guidance. I have also not included it. Could you please confirm that I am ok without it?

Hi Imran,
My application is pretty similar to yours. Applying as sole trading business. I was just wondering how to show the investment on the table as the 50k fund was invested during 3 years period under many different dates. Can I show the total of the account expense each year? I will be submitting the accounts so they can see what was the expenses are. Or can I break it down as the total PAYE cost and rent and etc? Please let me know how did you show the investment using the table.

Just was going through your documents list and I got a silly query that do we have to give separate photographs along with the application? As recently I haven't seen anybody submitting that.
