Hi Vhsmpuk,
I checked now in the flr guidance notes it says, you can apply for your dependent as well as any child under the age of 18 and pay £350 only.

I applied for me, my wife, and 2 yrs old daughter. I paid £350, and was approved.

I wonder if HO refunds the excess if you paid £700 :)

Hi,

Have you got any updated info?

Called Ho today, and a lovely lady said she could see a note on my case and the approval had been made and the documents had been sent for stamping. I will get my docs in 3-4 days.

At last, got a good result after such long waitting....

How about yours?

Hi Hari,
Do we need to call flr team and know the progress of our application. Or we just wait for two more weeks.

I planned to wait till 15th of Feb

then I will mail

Because normally its only the 4 th week something will happen

happening before that is extremly rare case

if you have given royal mail special delivery envelope to return the documents and if you have its number you can check daily night in royal mail site to see whether it is dispatched or not

but anyway waiting atleast 3 weeks is a must

Quick Turn around time

Post by Filipinas » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:24 pm

Application for Extension lodged : 28 Jan 2008 (Mon)
Check cleared : 01 Feb 2008 (Fri)
Approval Stamp : 06 Feb 2008 (Wed)
Receipt of Posted documents and passports : 09 Feb 2008 (Sat)
Acknowledgement or receipt of Application : Letter was dated 4 February but received 09 Feb 2008.

It was pretty queer and cumbersome for us that we weren't receiving any acknowledgement letter but knowing that they have managed to clear the cheque- we were thinking that they might be having some backlogs and there were no caseworkers who could handle our case right away- as it turned out the review was quicker than the acknowledgement- that when we received the post yesterday, I right away opened our Special Delivery pack (which I included in the lodging of papers) and the last post to be opened was the acknowledgement- oh well, at least it arrived.

I mailed to HO today, they replied as it is under consideration by caseworker.

Gone quickly to caseworker than I expected.

But now I am scared of results as I have done a early extension application.
