Changing Employer after first tier 2 general visa

I am currently on my first Tier 2 general visa expiring on may 2018 as a nurse.
However, I wish to transfer to another employer on the same job after this current visa expires.
Will switching employers on 2018 affect my eligibility to apply for ILR on 2020?

2020 is a long way off and there's often many a slip twixt cup and lip. Rules and regulations can and may change.
Sponsors may or may not be hard to find; and lets not get started on RLMT.
But at the moment, no nothing in principle.
