Salary requirement for extension of tier 2 (General Visa)

Post by Surjit82 » Tue Dec 20, 2016 10:03 am

Dear friends,

I am about extend my tier 2 (general visa) visa in few months. I am going to be in the same job category (same job code) in the same company/employer. My current visa was issued on 24 March 2014 with the New Entrant Salary rate in the SOC Code 2419.

My query is- Can I extend the tier 2 general visa with the existing salary (the old one at new entrant rate)? Or, am I required to be paid the experienced salary rate in the same job code (SOC Code 2419)?

I would be really grateful if anybody could guide me on this issue.

Many thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Surj

Hi,

You need to be on experienced rate for visa extension.

Thanks,
Hassan

The salary for 2419 is based on 39 hours a week so your employer can prorate the salary if you do less than 39 hours but it should still be on experience rate.

Thanks
