Entry Clearance as a spouse Or Settlement visa

I am a British born guy marrying a indian girl from india, we have been in a relationshiip for 2 years now

my solicitors has advised me that they will prepare an application based on entry clearance as a spouse

is this different from a settlement visa as a spouse

if yes how?

It is the same thing. It is called a spouse settlement visa. You don't need a solicitor to do it, fairly easy to do it on your own and the forum can help with advice for free.

that's true...you don't need a solicitor to be honest... i paid a solicitor £200 just to show him forms and he didn't have a clue what he was doing.. they basically learn as they go along... this forum is brilliant and can help a lot... i regret paying him that money...anyway, good luck!!!
