Thanks for sharing! Can you please find out the exact dates for your sister and friends? Just to be more precise!Lazaro wrote:Looking at the most recent posts, I'm glad that so many August applicants seem to be experiencing increasingly fast turnaround times (the seeming trend towards 105 days from 130). But my own experience started to worry me, especially as my sister got hers back mid-November after submitting in mid-July, and my friend just got hers back today after submitting in mid-August. I'm at 135 days and counting...
So I thought I'd share my timeline in case anyone else is in the same boat as me. Maybe there are a few case workers who are just taking longer than others. I believe my case is straightforward. 1) EEA (PR) Formrlobo wrote:Hi All,
I had become a member of this board nearly 6 years ago when I was going to apply for a temporary residence card in the UK as a non- EEA Family Member of a EEA National. The advice and discussions here proved very valuable for me, not only for the application itself, but also for visa-free travel to European countries as family member of a European!
And now its time for me (Indian national) and my still unmarried partner (Dutch national) to apply for the Permanent Residence cards We have been both living and working here for the continuous period of 5 years, barring a few holidays. We will use the EEA(PR) form for this, and my EEA partner will also fill this up to get a card proving his right to live here (thanks Brexit!). I have a few questions for which I could not find answers and I hope you guys can help. Here goes:
1. Is there any other form apart from EEA(PR) we need to fill? My understanding is that that form should cover everything.
2. We will both need our passports for work-related travel, so cannot submit them to the HO. What is the best workaround? Do you know of reputable solicitors who might be able to provide attestation?
3. Is PR for a family member the same rights as Indefinite Leave to Remain?
4. Visa Free travel to EU. After getting PR, can I still travel visa free to Europe? If yes, does it still have to be WITH my partner, or am I now allowed to travel independently?
Any advice would be gratefully accepted!
Reshma
Its not a visa that you have!adsyb99 wrote:Hi all,
Was looking to get some advice.
A bit of background. I'm a non EEA citizen, who's been living in the UK legally for 9 years (Tier 1/HSMP then EEA2). My EEA2 visa is up in June next year so am going to apply for PR. I've been married to my wife for over 5 years. She's a EEA national who's been exercising her treaty rights for 9 years. We've both been working the whole time we've been here, my wife in the same job.
Given Brexit, I was going to apply for PR for both of us at the same time. A few questions:
1) Do we use the same form, or 2 separate ones? I was intending on using one, but had a brief call with an advisor who says we need to apply separately. This doesn't make sense to me, as my eligibility to PR is dependant on my wives.
2) I was also told that I can't apply until 28 days before my current visa expires. Is this correct even though we've been married for more then the 5 years?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to respond. Apologies for getting the terminology incorrect. Your response to point 2) make perfect sense and I'm going to apply ASAP.noajthan wrote:Its not a visa that you have!adsyb99 wrote:Hi all,

1) You can apply on same form, spouse as main applicant; you as dependent.
Or as wife has been in UK for donkey's years she's likely to have acquired PR 3 or 4 years ago - should could apply on her own form capturing those kinds of timelines.
Your timeline appears to be more recent.
Start by collating all evidence and information.
See how it shapes up.
2) Nonsense and misinformation.
Did I mention you don't have a visa.
There's no 28-day rule on EU route.
Date of acquisition of PR has little or nothing to do with whether you happen to have an optional RC (or EEA2 as you call it).
You and sponsor should have acquired PR on 5th anniversary of your sponsor exercising treaty rights in UK;
that is, assuming you have been in UK that long and married to each other that long.
Also assuming neither party has enjoyed prolonged absences from UK.

I don't think it matters that much how simple or complex your case is. It may help them a little bit if it's simple or if you include a cover letter or extra helping letters, but I don't think it makes a massive difference. Also that doesn't change the fact that they have hundreds or maybe thousands of cases to solve before they get to yours...
why the Biometric letter hasn't been sent to you? Also why are you worried about your daughter's passport when your application still in process! aren't you aware that EEA PR application can takes up to six months, you can't do much about it, so my advise to you is, to sit tight and waitKulsumahmedmia wrote:Hi All, I am a formar indian national I acquired my EEA rights through my mother. I have been living in England since 2010.
I have applied for my and my 20 month old daughters PR card since August 30. An agent completed our application.
So we sent application on 30th August 2016, they received it on 31st august, payment was taken on 3rd September, I received my daughters biometric letter on 14th September, sent biomentric on 18th September and since then I haven't received anything. No response at all.
Biometric letter was also sent for my daughter not for me. it will be nearly 4 months, I am very worried. I need to apply for my daughters passport and visit India in July 2017, unfortunitly I cant book the tickets as I have fear of not getting PR card. don't know what to do
Congratulation to your wife, also remember your 5 years period clock has started from your wedding day rather than Nov 2012, and make sure she doesn't apply for BC till you get your PR!softy monster wrote:.......
We've applied for my wife on the old version of PR app form(EEA3).She is an EU-national and I'm non-EU citizen having my RC since Nov 2012 and will be applying for my PR soon so fingers crossed.
Good Luck guys.
Special thanks to NOAJTHAN and team for doing such a great job
