VFS Global in Malaysia SMS Status Tracking Service

Dear all,

Submitted visa application in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at VFS Global Services on 23rd Dec 2016.
Until today, there is no status sent to my mobile since then.
Is this normal please?

I filled up a hardcopy printed form from the website and submitted onsite during visa application submission.
The officer (lady) gave me a receipt for the purchased service of SMS RM9 after confirmed the mobile number.

Im having the same situation right now, its been five working days and i have not received any confirmation mail or SMS.
