Naturlisation apply date

Post by h200123 » Fri Jan 06, 2017 6:52 pm

Hi All,

I have got ILR along with my family in person on 20th Feb last year and our BRP card is also showing 20th Feb 2016 as a date of issue but my daughter brp card is showing the date 3rd march 2016 but we all had been issued ilr on 20th feb 2016 and her approval letter is also showing 20th feb 2016.

My question is can we apply all for naturlisation on 21st feb or do i need to wait till 3rd march?

Thanks

Minors are registered not naturalised.
And 12 month rule does not apply to minors.

Still is it ok if we all apply together on 21st Feb?

How old are they?
And how long in UK?
As mentioned, there is no specific 12 month rule.

Older teenagers will be expected to have spent enjoyed 2 years in UK, aclimatising and assimilating, and to be able to show their future lies in UK.
No such time rules for young minors on the discretionary section 3(1) route.

Should be acceptable to all apply together then.
Suggest apply via NCS.

It really isn't necessary, it is not a difficult form to fill (we give advice for free, often better than an immigration advisor). All you will be is A LOT poorer for what they will charge to effectively just fill in a form on top of the total cost of the citizenship fees for a family. Using a lawyer has absolutely no bearing on the outcome of your application either.

You can do all the work yourself and apply through NCS at the council who will check your form for a small fee and send it off with copies of ALL your documents and you get to keep the originals, including the passports. You can also apply using the JCAP scheme (joint citizenship and passport application) but only through NCS.
