payment method as bank draft

Post by rknshree » Mon Jan 09, 2017 3:34 pm

Hi,

The payment slip mentions only using debit/credit card and a cheque as mode of payment for AN1 and MN1 applications.

Can we use a bank draft ( a.k.a bankers cheque ) ?

Apologies if you think this has been explained here before. But believe me i have done several searches in this forum and I am still not sure about this.

Thanks a lot,
Rkn

Yes. I made all my payments by banker's cheque/demand draft (though that was about four years ago).

Fill the details in the cheque area.

The AN_Guide only refers to "cheques" - from my business experience a bankers draft drawn on a UK Bank and in Sterling is as good or even better than a personal cheque (with guarantee card in the old days). I expect UKVI will only process application once cheque is cleared.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks for the replies.
I am going to apply next week and I will be using bank draft only.

If anyone else has recently used a bank draft, please share your experience.

Thanks,
Rkn
