EU3 - permanent residence card issued do you need retention

Post by broli » Sat Jan 14, 2017 10:01 am

Hi folks,

If you get 10 years Permanent resident card issued based on EU citizen relationship.

Do you need still to apply for retention in case EU citizen leaves the country without divorce ?

Thanks

To broli

Well if you got EU-3 based on your wife it clearly says in the letter to bring your wife while extention. This indicates its valid as long as you are with your wife.
Now if she want divorce or wants move somewhere u need to let department know and seek ur own retention..
it might get easy to get retention if you already have EU-3..

Someone with PR status does not need any sort of EU sponsor so existence of a spouse is then immaterial.
