what visa do I need for her?

I am a British male. I moved back to the UK 2 years ago. My ex wife did not allow me to take the kids with me and I hardly see them anymore.

I have a full time job with low income and send monthly payments to my ex to support them.

Both my kids are dual citizen (british/ukraine) and have full UK passports.

my ex wife is Ukrainian

She has agreed to move here for the sake of the children.

What visa do I apply for?

She will not allow the children to come here without her and my income is not great and I currently live at my parents home due to financial restrictions (low income).

People get asylum for their wives and children for free but I don't seem to qualify for anything.

Can anyone advise me please? What should I do?

There is no visa for an ex-wife.

As she is not in UK, ex-wife will have to apply for a visa on her own merits;
she could look at T1, T2, T4 depending on her capabilities, finances and interests.

Are their lives in danger in Ukraine?

As said above there is no settlement visa for an ex wife. Your children as British citizens can return to the UK any time they like.
