**SENIOR MEMBER ADVISE PLEASE**

Post by life4change » Tue Jan 24, 2017 5:29 pm

Hi All Seniors,

I have a question. I applied my Nationality and Passport application together from Birmingham on 12 01 2017.

My fee was deducted on 20 01 17. Biometric Letter received on 21 01 17 and I did the biometric on the same day. My passport fee was deducted on 23 01 17.

Today on 24 01 17 I received a message from Her Majesty's Passport office as this:

''We have received your passport application. You should get your new passport within 3 weeks (6 weeks if its your first passport).
We never ask you to send personal or financial information by text.

Any Advise what this means. Seniors input will be highly appreciated

Regards & Thanks

It means exactly as it says. What is your confusion?

OP is probably confused as they only applied on 12 January.

It may be a standard message that got issued by mistake by an over-enthusiastic HMPO operative (or automated system).

But passport will only be sent once you had the ceremony. Which will likely take longer than the six weeks the text states. So I would ignore it for the moment.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
