I applied my citizenship in 2015 july but some reason I'm still waiting and i hold eufam4 stamp which valid till 2021. A incident happened back in my home(india) and i have to fly back nd i booked ticket already and I'm flying this weekend dublin to delhi via Heathrow(UK) alone. Now guys i heard from few friends that i do need transit visa? As I'm staying only 3 hrs in heathrow airport for to change flights only.
I heard tht when i b coming back from india then in UK heathrow airport they might stop me nd will ask for transit visa nd they can deport too?
I'm confused guys nd not have much time and again i holds a valid stamp eufam4 till 2021.

You may have a slight problem if the spouse isn't in the UK and you're trying to land into UK.

You either need to travel with your spouse or join them in the UK if you intend to use EU4FAM.

I'll suggest get a visa or better get a return flight to Dublin.

Flying out will not be a problem.

Dear dhruv87 you dont need a transit visa if you have a valid resident permit of Ireland and you are leaving the UK within 24 hours after entry. Please read page 10, 11 & 12.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... hc-693.pdf

Please print these 3 pages out & keep them with you just in case if you get across some 1(Immigration officer both in the UK & India) who is not very knowledgeable.
I have personal experience on the way out at Terminal 1 no one even bothered to ask. On the way in I was asked & got a transit stamp from immigration officer on my passport. I hope this has rectified your worry. If anything else feel free to ask.

Hi guys I decided when i searched tickets for my wife (in Pakistan) it came up with a via Heathrow route which is a lot cheaper and direct then a flight to Ireland/Dublin, this was a few months ago and when i read up it stated i would need to get her an airside visa if she was going on a flight same day without leaving the airport, but if leaving then a transit visa would be required and to leave the uk within 48 hours. Recently i cant seem to find 48 hours mentioned anywhere, please don't tell me it has been reduced to 24 :-$ as i was planning to stay the night at parents then as stanstead is close to us we could shoot off to Shannon, any advise please help, by the way still waiting on result of spouse visa application been 7 months no contact from inis. Thanks Ayub

Not sure why members cannot just look things up on the .gov website via a google search.
