Invesment proof

Dear All,
I wanted to understand more about the money shown in India during visa application. Do we need to bring that money here in London and show as a proof or we need to have proof of investment at the time of Eextension after 3.4 years or ILR application.

how else can you show proof of investment to UKVI without bringing money to the uk?
