Spouse visa VAF4A form

Post by ghetto Superstar » Sun Feb 05, 2017 12:00 am

Hello I just want to find out some information. I just started an application for for my future wife to move with me to the UK. I start the application on visa4uk and was asked a series of questions. I am getting marries to her in April My first question is if i should start the application now or after ive got marries? my next question is I click on settlement, settlement then i see options for wife and Marriage , which one of these option should i choose, I am a bit lost at that stage, if i click wife then i get to fill a VAF4A type form this form says she have to be earning over £18000, I have spoke to a solicitor and they told me my spouse dont have to show meeting the financial requirement only me. The marriage selection showed me SU07/12 form. Now i am a bit lost as to which of these options i have to select

I would appreciate any help on this

kind regards

Randy

It is too early to apply now if you are only getting married in April.
my next question is I click on settlement, settlement then i see options for wife and Marriage , which one of these option should i choose,
Settlement --> Settelement --> Wife. If you select 'Marriage' this is for a fiance visa valid for 6 months and to get married in the UK.
I am a bit lost at that stage, if i click wife then i get to fill a VAF4A type form this form says she have to be earning over £18000, I have spoke to a solicitor and they told me my spouse dont have to show meeting the financial requirement only me.
YOU have to show proof of earning £18,600pa NOT your future spouse.
The marriage selection showed me SU07/12 form. Now i am a bit lost as to which of these options i have to select
You DO NOT need the SU07 form for a spouse. It is for adult dependent relatives, i.e. elderly parents.[/quote]

And don't forget that you have to pay the immigration health surcharge of £600 too PLUS the visa application fee.

Further to CR001's advice, you will be unable to submit the Spouse Settlement visa application until the marriage has taken place.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
