ILR - QUESTION ABOUT ELIGIBILITY

Post by Ramit » Tue Feb 12, 2008 5:00 pm

This might come as a silly question to people who already know but I am a bit confused. I complete 5 years on my work permit in 2010 by which time I can apply for ILR. What is continous stay in UK? Some say you are only allowed 6 months leave in the whole of these 5 years outside UK and 3 months at a time in a year. Others say you are allowed 15 months leave in the whole of these 5 years outside UK and 3 months at a time in a year!

There is no clear information about this on the HO website. I really need to know how much leave can I take in these 5 years as I do not want to jeapordise my ILR at any cost.
