Can u let me know what is the deadline for the EC... do we have to be in UK once we got the visa.. within one month or so.

I got EC on 8 jan , and I am planning to leave in 1st week of April.

Can u explain .in detail.

Yes ce & apachegmf,

The applicants of HSMP who got EC approved should enter the UK within 1 month of EC issuance.....

It is mandatory to have a continuous stay of 4 years 11 months in the UK having travel of not more than 120 days out of UK to qualify for ILR in Uk

we should enter the UK Port of entry within 27 days .....

I am not too sure about no.of days ..

Refer the Border and immigration agency website for further information....

I & my friend applied for EC on 23rd Jan 08. We received offer letter this week and would like to convey this info to BHC. Can anybody suggest how to do this ?

There are no sign of integra verification.

Today i have mailed the BHC in the Morning and i got the reply saying i have been granted EC and they will despatch the passport today eveing.

Hi everyone,

I have been watching this forum for a while and would like to share my EC status. It got stamped and collected it from VFS yesterday.

I wish everyone to have your EC asap.

Timelines
------------
Applied on 10th Jan
Location - Chennai
Integra - No idea
Result - EC stamped & collected from VFS Chennai
Verified the status on VFS site on 09th Feb as processed & forwarded to AC on 8th feb.

Sometimes I feel I am stupid who is getting into all this. First pay handsome fee, then do documentation like crazy and ultimately they will make you wait like crazy.

Besides that the restriction for FLR and ILR indicate that when you apply as HSMP.. they want you to go and work and work and do nothing but work in their country. Thats why you can't stay out of UK for more than 120 days and other restrictions are there I guess.

So ultimately they want workers and we fell for that but again only thing i see is 1 pound is 80 Rupees and living standard is better but this better will ultimately takes my earned pounds.

So what we are losing and what we are gaining is the big question. But these guys who say they are one one of most developed nation on Earth's Surface don't have sophoisticated process to handle VISA requests and I see USA handling it better than UK.

I am still confused but already applied ...

No status except reply saying its under investigation at BHC from VFS.
Tried calling VFS but all 3 numbers are busy most of the time. Probably they need another fee hike to add call center setup and to accept all calls.

Hi everyone ,

I have been tracking things that are happening in this forum continuously for almost a month .

I applied for EC on January 14th at Chennai VFS .

I don't have any idea about whether Integra check was done or not .
Today I got my EC approved and I asked my parents to receive the passport on behalf of me .
They verified the documents , passport and told me that everything was fine .

I should really thank this forum for helping me a lot . For the last couple of weeks I use to spend around half an hour daily browsing through the messages in this forum to get a clear picture of what is going on .

I found that many have received their EC this week. Think so Chennai BHC has got back their lost momentum .

I am very sure that late December applicants and early January applicants will be getting their EC by this week or at the most by next week.

Hi Guys,

Called up Chennai BHC again today to hear the same old message

She told that it will take atleast 30 working days and asked me to call after that. I have called BHC atleast 6 times now and I think its the same lady who picks up the call. First she will speak in Brit accent and then switch to normal Indian accent after realising that it is a frustated Indian HSMP applicant who is calling

Hoping that will get some positive news in this week, though not much of this week is remaining.

Had another question. Somewhere in the group, I read that after getting the EC, one must travel to UK with in 27 days. Can some one throw some light on this? I mean why is this restriction?

I called BHC Yesterday. They told me to call back by end of Feb as they are still processing Dec applications and not yet started with Jan lot.

Hi All,

I call the BHC no 044 4219 2308 and as I was saying in my prev post, its the same lady who picks up the call and all that she tells is processing will take 30 working days atleast. She refuses to say anything more than this.

How come you guys are able to extract the info such as Dec/Jan applications are getting processed etc? The lady even refused to say if they have received the integra report or not.

Is there any other number of BHC that I can call? What time do you guys generally call BHC? I have always called between 8:30 - 9:00 in the morning.
