Tier 2 Curtailment stay

Post by sreekan2 » Fri Feb 10, 2017 2:01 pm

Hi,
I am on Tier 2 visa and my employer's licence was revoked last month,
I have two version of my stay legally, can you please let me know which one is right!

1) I am eligible to stay 60 days from the date of sponsorship revocation.
2) wait for the curtailment letter and as per the letter say(60 days from that).

which one is right?, some one told me that if i wait for curtailment letter after 60 days from revocation I am not eligible for my ILR(10 yrs) at later stage.

You should however find a new sponsor as soon as possible rather than wait.

This happened to me aswell.

Your stay is legal until you receive the curtailment letter which will have your leave end date.
In worst case scenario you can overstay upto 28 days.

The OP can't overstay for 28 days. The Rules changed in November and 28 days were reduced to 14.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
