BASIC PAY & UNPAID LEAVE

Hi all,
I have been working my head right to its limit and stressing over this for a while now, I want to apply to get my wife a Visa in the U.K.
I currently work at Vodafone and was hoping to apply under the 6month as I don't want to wait any longer.
I'm worried that my wage slips wont cut it, they're all over the place and this really stresses me out.
My official gross annual salary is £17500, however my wage slips are as below:(gross pay)
1st:1390.41 (less due to training and working less days during that month).
2nd:1458.33
3rd:1861.86 (including bonus and overtime)
4th:1458.33 (minus)-201.83(unpaid leave) +113.88(Bonus/overtime)
5th:Pending at £1458 + (will include overtime)
6th: Pending at £1458 +(will include bonus/overtime)
based on these 4 wageslips and estimated wage slips will I be eligible to apply under the 6 month option?
I also have a second job which pays £130 PM.
What options do I have?
Vodafone will give me a letter stating that my annual wage is gross £17500.
ANY HELP WOULD BE EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY appreciated.

Are those money gross or net pay.

I don't think you will qualify, you need a total gross monthly earning of £1550 for a continuous period of 6 months to qualify. If not, you will not succeed.

I do not know the bonus yet, but even if we add the £130 to those earning, you will still fall short of the 1550 you need to be earning for a period of 6 months.

hi thank you for the reply, I might wait an extra month so as not to use the first wage slip.
I wanted to know would it matter if I earned the equivelant to £9300 over the period of 6 months but with different amount in each months pay e.g.
month one £1500
month two 1600
etc... but after 6 months all the wages added up equal upto the amount of £9300 (*2 would be £18600).
and also would unpaid leave be taken into consideration? For example do they only look at gross pay per month or do they look at gross pay over 6 month period..
and can I use two jobs and savings?

If the income is variable means non salaried then the average of previous 6 months wages will be calculated instead taking the lowest wages in previous 6 months which usually in case of salaried wages. The following is the formula for taking 6 months average wages:

Total of 6 months wages/6×12

my wage is salaried at £17500 PA however in the 1st and 4th months there are deductions before tax because of unpaid holiday/ training.
what will be the formula for this?
total of 6 months *2= ....?

HO will take the payslip that has the lowest amount and use that to base the calculation and if you do not meet the requirement, the visa will be refused.

I only have 4 months so far the last two will be estimated.
Gross:
Job1 (salaried at £17500PM)
month one £1390
month two 1458
month three £1861
month four £1572.21 - unpaid leave £201.83 = 1370.38
month five (estimated) 1458 + (100 bonus) = 1558
month 6(estimated) 1458 + (100 bonus) = 1558

Job2
Month 1-6 = £130 PM

HO will use Month 1 @ 1390 as the basis for their calculation and even if you add your part time job of £130, you are still short of the required amount, as Obie has advised.

just to confirm if I was to wait an extra month so as to not use the wage for month 1 would the be better?
would the unpaid leave make a difference to gross pay?

In continuation of replied earlier that since your wages are varying every month so you will be considered non-salaried instead salaried where you suppose to get fixed wages. In your case the average of previous six months will be taken and for this purpose you and other advisers need to read the official guidance where they advised the same. But even by taking the average of 6 months your wages are still short.

The first £16,000 will be discounted and not used in the calculation.

so essentially if I can use 2 jobs and my saved cash then I have enough to go over the 18600 limit?
because after £16000 of savings is discounted and 1900 has been divided by 2.5 that leaves me with £760 which added on to my lowest wage of
£1390+130=1520

so £1520*12= 18240
then add the cash savings of £760 =
£19000 PA?
is this the correct way to work it out?

Are you a salaried employee? ie you get paid a fix amount every month or a year? ( You may get paid bonuses and OT for work that you do beyond your contracted hours.)
If you are a salaried employee, then you must have earned a minimum of £ 1550 every month to qualify. If in any of the 6 months you do not get a minimum of £1550 for whatever reason (eg unpaid holidays), and even if you earn extra and make up for the shortfall next month, it still won't help you.

You have mentioned that you get £17500 per year, so it would seem you are salaried employee.
