Post by ahmad321 » Wed Feb 22, 2017 8:50 pm

Hi
I am new on this forum I have a question how much time the home office take for FLR fp private life application ? I submit the application on 28 November 2016 before my current visa expired on 31 November 2016

I had a tier4 student visa expired on 31 November 2016
submit application 28 November 2016
Fingerprints taken after 10 days
got a letter from Home Office on 9 February 2017 saying missed something in application form
I repost the application corectly on 16 February 2017
can anyone please tell me how much time it takes to make a decision from Home Office

How long have you been in the UK and on what visa categories?

What is the basis for private life?

HO will take as long as they need to and these applications tend to take long.

Where is the family?

As a single male applicant with only 6 years residence, unlikely you will be successful.

You have applied for 'private life' application IN the UK when your family is back home???

What justification have you used in your form for reasons to support your private life IN THE UK? Your family in Pakistan have no bearing on private life in the UK and simply wanting to 'stay here because it is better' is not sufficient.

HO will likely take the view that you can return home to look after your family.

I applied from here

I wrote that I study here for last 5 years and Know all the rules and regulations and got some friends here plus also back home if I go it won't be easy for me

I gave my original degree plus my wage slips , p60 forms I have been worked for Royalmail for 1 and half years

I did got a letter from them saying that I didn't fill the form correctly there is a missing signature I signed the form and post it on 16 February 2017

I applied because my 5 years as a student is ended
and I can't find a job related to my studies that's the main reason for applying

what you think my chances are ?

In my honest opinion, you are risking your 5 years studies going in vein because of this. The chances for successful application is almost zero as CR001 said. You will also need to wait until they decide the application which could be months and months and meanwhile you will not be able to apply for the job related to your studies.

You could make the most of your 5 years studies by relocating to some different countries like Dubai where UK graduates are in high demand. You should know that fresh graduates tend to secure a job relatively easily than the ones who have gaps after their last degree (and not being in field job since finishing studies).

I can understand you must have been in massive pressure of supporting your family but you should also be thinking that how long you will be able to support them by living in this country like this where you have very rare chance to get the visa. Your current employer will also not keep you in job if your FLR FP application is refused.

If you really want to stay in this country, then look for jobs related to your studies and with the employers who can sponsor you a Tier 2 visa. Once you have secured such employer, then withdraw your FLR (FP) application and submit new Tier 2 visa application. I know its very hard to get Tier 2 sponsorship because of RLMT etc but I am sure if you will try hard you will get it.

By any means, I never wanted to let you down through my post. I just wanted to guide you in correct direction. The best route for you to stay in this country is Tier 2.

Thanks,

Doesn't matter, it's a 100% certainty for rejection. I'd start packing if I were you.

It could take a year or more, but your chances of being granted leave under the right to private life in the UK in the circumstances are slim to zero.

for how much more time it takes I heard the maximum time is 5-6 months

recently my aunt passed away on 15 February 2017

If you want to travel urgently. You can request to withdraw your FLR (FP) application and can leave the country then.

Thanks

If you had valid visa in November you really, really should have moved elsewhere. The case, from what I can read is quite negative as you wish to stay because you are the main earner foe your family back home. There won't be a paragraph covering this matter in the immigration rules.. sorry, but very slim. You may need to wait maybe 6- 8 months for response. There's a bscklog of FLRFP cases..

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.
