Hi guys
So I have just been to India with my partner and got the formalities of a court marriage done so he could apply for a dependent visa for the UK.
I live as a lodger currently, and though I did sign a paper which mentions the details of the tenancy like the rent and the rules etc, it was just a print out from the landlord and not a proper agreement. So my question is, how important is a tenancy agreement to be provided with the documents for the Tier 2 Dependent Visa and how "official" should it be?
I know there have been cases where staying with a friend was also enough to provide proof of reasonable accommodation. Shall I ask my landlord to provide me with a letter stating he gives permission for my husband to stay in the room (which is a double bedroom) along with maybe proof of his ownership of the house?
We will move into a new place once my husband's move to the UK is finalised, but until then I would keep staying as a lodger.
Thanks in advance!
