English language req for dependant

Post by sree17 » Tue Feb 28, 2017 12:50 pm

Sir,

My wife wrote IELTS in 2008 scoring 6.5 and came to UK on student dependant visa. Later in 2011 we applied for Tier 2 general visa (dependant) showing the same document for english language criteria fulfilment and was accepted and are now eligible for ILR this month. Can you clarify if I can show the same document for english language criteria for ILR as I know IELTS is valid for 2 years but she was granted previous visa based on this same document or will she have to take english test.

No.
She was granted visa each time before as IELTS was never needed in each of the applications she submitted before.
Besides the fact, ielts is changed now anyway.
