Tier 2 Visa Extension Requirements

Hello,
I am currently under Tier 2 general (2136 Programmers and software development professionals) and I am planning to renewal in Jan 2017.

• For extending visa under the same code, is it required minimum salary of £31,100?

• My company is willing to increase the salary only at the time of application, is it ok if they increase the salary at the time of application ? or Do I require at least three months Pay Slips for the increased salary while applying the visa?

• I am also planning to apply wife extension along with me. So Could you please tell me do I need to maintain any funds?

• Could you please tell me list of documents required for Tier 2 Extension.

Can you please give me any advice regarding the questions.

Yes

You need to show that you are earning that salary. May be one month payslip and bank statement enough but safe to show 3 months. Please wait for other to confirm.

If she is applying at the same time as you then no need to show any maintenance funds.

The new salary does not necessarily need to be prior to the application. No payslips are required to submit with the extension application.

The new salary just to be mentioned on the COS and the new salary should be paid from the start date on new COS.

Thanks for your advice, only thingI was worried about the salary, my company is willing to increase the salary only at the time of application, In that case is there is a chance of rejection.

Required is 31,100 for 39 hour week.

Yours should be fine if you work 39 hours a week or less.

Current Passports, BRPs and 2 x pictures are the only mandatory documents in extension applications. When you will apply online, it will show you the list of mandatory documents to be sent.

I am going to apply my extension soon. my application is ready just left with COS number which as to be assigned.
I have planned to apply on 3rd October and will send the application same day.

Now a days you cannot take risk to have the allocation and then apply with 3 months. Rules gets change every day and if new SOC codes will come and you have not applied then your COS will be of no use

Note: This year new SOC has not been generated. Pays are still based on 2015 and new SOC codes can come in effect any time any hour with salaries

So always think on a safe side while applying for extension:

as I am already getting experienced rate so will send 3 months pay slip but not mandatory

Hello Prasad,

I saw your post today and realized that we have very similar condition - apart from that yours include dependent and mine does not have any dependent with me.

I am just wondering have you applied your visa extension and how it went? Can you apply for the extension without payslips in your case as my condition is the same with yours that my company is willing to increase the salary only at the time of application.
