your application seems healthy. so no worries. for dependants HO wants

1. Legal proof for the relationship with the dependants
2. you should have sufficient funds
3. You should have a proper accomodation to accomodate her.

You just have written that you have an accomodation proof.

Yuu must bare in mind that for accomodation of a spouse, what accomodation should be necessary.

You must have enough funds to support her in UK without recourse to public funds.

If you are prepared for it. Go for it. Best of luck

This is a requirement when you go for EC, as in your case if you have your EC and you want to do it for your dependants. It is not mandatory, but do provide them if you have dont have any problem. hope it helps

Three days ago I got EC for two years and now i want to apply for dependants.

I have RS 640,000.00 (8000 GBP) balance in my account, is it enough to apply for two dependants?, I showed the same amount when i applied for my EC.

Do we need to enclose old expired passports?

Thank You.

Err? You got EC three days ago? And now you are applying EC for dependents? This is a little confusing to me...In order to apply EC for dependents, you need to be in the UK, working and have an accommodation and sufficient bank balance..

You should have applied with your EC for your dependent too. but I think, you can do that provided that you have a suitable accomodation too and It is not overcrowded. You have sufficient amount. You need to enclose your old expiry passports too.

How can someone have a ready accommodation to show in UK when the applicants are still in the home country?

Yep..I knw these are the options available..But, still I think applying for dependents EC when the primary applicant is still in home country might cause an issue. Haven't heard of anyone who tried this...unless there is some guideline in HSMP which states you can do it...

Right, i think one should confirm it with the HO. And this is my beleive provided on the fact that what Immigration officers want actually from a person applying for a dependant visa.

People have two choices, either they can apply for EC for dependant at the same time when they are applying or they can do it later on(Coming to UK first, get a job, have suitable accomodation, and payslips, bank statement).

And if the guy has confirmed with the VAF people, then there is no doubt in that. or an email to HO can also help regarding this matter.

All I did when I applied for myself and my dependant was include:
Both passports
6mths bank statements - letter explaining large deposits
Marriage certificate
HSMP letter
Letter agreeing to support my wife...

This was in Australia, and I had no problems with EC.

Dear Sir/Madam,

MY wife got HSMP Entry clearance a week ago and working here in India.

Now Can we apply for Spouse and Childs Entry Clearances while she is in India?

Thank You.

I got the following reply from VFS

Dear sir/madam

This is to inform you that you can apply for the dependent visa even when she is in India.
