Non EU spouse traveling with EU Citizen in Europe

Post by rainbow2007 » Sun Feb 17, 2008 8:29 pm

Hi guys!
One question there.
As an EU Citizen travelling with my non EU spouse - holder of stamp 4 in Ireland, will he need visa to enter any european country? Like Italy, Spain, France, Germany?

Would you have any idea on that?

The directive of free movement states that as long as we are travelling togehter and carrying our marriage certificate, everything is fine,
but what is actually the real situation there on the immigration border.
Does anybody have any experience on that??

Many thanks for your help.

Have a read through this post...you'll be glad you asked the forum before you travelled with just a wedding certificate.

So basically all jerks and racisk everywhere.

The best thing its to take irish passport and travel all round the world.

Ha ha ha!!

So we need to get every visa for every country.

Nearly all are Schengen, but one more, one less, as per this topic on the forum.

Thank you for that link archigabe!
