UK Spouse Visa - Disabled

Post by agentz619 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 8:42 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a question about UKVI Spouse Visa. I am disabled and got married last year, I wish to bring my wife to the UK from Bangladesh. I understand I am exempt from the strict financial tier that normally applies to 'normal people' who apply for the Spouse Visa as I receive the DLA benefits. Below is a break-down of what I receive:

DLA (Higher rate)
£141.1pw = £564.4pm = Total: £6772.8py

ESA (Higher rate)
£110.85pw = £443.4pm = Total: £5320.8py

Combined both = £12093.6

I have savings in 2 accounts which I've saved up; One account with £11084.80 and another with £13637.37 (Benefits go in) = Total: £24722.16 in savings.
I don't have any outgoings, I live with my parents in a mortgage-free house with 2 spare unused bedrooms and my wife once she has moved to the UK then she will be living with us.

My question is, is everything above sufficient enough to grant the Spouse Visa?

Thank you

Thanks for the link above but it doesn't answer my question as it's just a brief overview.

Anyone?

It isn't an 'overview', it is and tells you what the rules require and contains the relevant links you need.

Is this sufficient evidence for UK spouse visa? (Disabled)

Post by agentz619 » Sat Mar 18, 2017 9:39 pm

Hi

I am applying to bring my wife to the UK from Bangladesh. I am disabled, receive both DLA & ESA benefits and know the strict income/work rules don’t apply to me.

I have compiled all the evidence below and wondering if it was good enough;

Marriage & Other Documents
• Marriage Certificate in Bangla
• Translated English Marriage Certificate (with court stamp)
• Wedding pictures & Bangladesh 2 visits pictures (January and April 2016)
• Wedding DVD
• Wifes Passport
• Wifes IELTS Life Skills A1 Certificate
• Wifes Medical Report
• Wifes employer letter
• My Passport
• Bangladesh 2 visits in 2016, flight boarding card/tickets
• GP Letter with regards to previous Bangladesh visits

Benefits DLA & ESA Documents
• Disability Living Allowance – Higher rate (DLA) letters & Employment Support Allowance – Higher rate (ESA) letters

My 2 Bank Account Statements
• Halifax Savings Account statement - £13,637.36 (Benefits go in)
• Current Account statement - £11,084.80
• Combined savings total: £24,722.16

Accommodation etc
• Letter of accommodation from my parents & home ownership legal documents, floor plan of house
• Letter of financial support (if ever required)

Medical Documents Re: Me
• GP Letter of medical condition and recommendation
• Medical report

Contact evidence with Wife - Over 1 year proof
• WhatsApp messages + Video calls
• SimpleCall phone calls itemised bills (shows Wifes number)
• Bangladesh Unlimited phone cards. (Calling cards)
• Three Mobile bills (shows dialling codes for Bangladesh Unlimited phone cards & SimpleCall)

Would really appreciate the help.

Thank you

• Wifes Passport
• Wifes IELTS Life Skills A1 Certificate
• Wifes Medical Report What do you mean 'medical report'? Do you mean TB test?
• Wifes employer letter Not required.
• My Passport Assuming this is a certified copy??
• Bangladesh 2 visits in 2016, flight boarding card/tickets
• GP Letter with regards to previous Bangladesh visits

Benefits DLA & ESA Documents
• Disability Living Allowance – Higher rate (DLA) letters & Employment Support Allowance – Higher rate (ESA) letters

VFS Spouse Visa Tracking Not Working

Post by agentz619 » Sat Jul 08, 2017 8:32 pm

Hi all,

Over 2 months ago applied for a spouse visa for my wife to come join me in the UK from Bangladesh. Made the application here in the UK through my Barrister and my wife submitted everything in Sylhet Bangladesh.

Since submitting the application its been 2 months 16 days and we have tried tracking through VFS Global using the GWF number & Passport number but nothing appears.

I was wondering if anyone could help? I would really appreciate any help.

It won't work until the application is decided. Roughly takes 12 working weeks from date of biometric these days where it is a straight forward case. Only thing you can do is wait for now.

Hi brother,
Have you heard anything from them as yet. As my brother is in the same boat as you. He too is a disabled sponsor but he has a part time job aswell as his PIP benefits. We only recently applied 21 July 2017. All the supporting documents that we submitted to sheffield on the 9 August 2017 was returned today 6 September 2017 with a standard acknowledgement.

Regards
Jusna
